The Mailman team is led by our Project Manager and Sr. Environmental Consultant, Chris Chapleau.
What began as a way of driving business for the inspection firm he worked for found new life as new technologies emerged to detect and analyze hazardous building materials and indoor air quality pollutants. After a career of striving to deliver results for his clients the name “Mailman Environmental” took hold.
Chris brings to the situation over 20 years of project management; working together with vendors and customers alike to bring resolution. His experience has ranged from the Fitness Industry to Reprographics before finding his passion in Environmental Testing and Consulting.
As Project Manager it is Chris’ responsibility to bring together the resources needed to fulfill the requirements of the inspection at hand. He maintains certfications from a variety of organizations (DOSH, CDPH, ACAC, NACHI) in a variety of areas allowing him to perform Asbestos and Lead Inspections, Mold and Bacteria Investigations, and Indoor Air Quality investigations.
Mailman Environmental is committed to serving our community and supports the efforts of Chris and the team to support numerous local organizations including the Valley Industry Association and numerous equitable housing initiatives.
He has been married for almost 20 years to his beautiful wife Desiree, a nurse at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and is father to three boys, a little princess, and any number of animals.
When not in a crawl space, inspecting an attic, or scraping popcorn ceilings Chris spends most of his free time carting kids between practices and fitting in a couple camping trips a year.
